Mila Fairfax, Principal

I have been aligning people’s voice with their identity for four decades.

From early image consulting, through public relations, to narrative coaching, the thru line has remained: find your true voice and use it. When I find people who have lost their voice, who can’t find their voice when they need it, or who have had their voice silenced, I can help them reclaim it. To do that effectively, we have to back up to reestablish the message, then intention, and even the identity of that voice.

As a crisis responder, I helped articulate needs then redirect attention and resources, speaking on behalf of people affected by emergencies and disasters to those who could assist. As a public relations counselor, I helped frame and convey complex messages to bring clarity and context in murky conditions. And now as a narrative coach, I help untangle old assumptions and expectations to get to a stronger story.

  • "This has become my absolute happy place . . ." -CF

“I’ve been meaning to write to give you a brief update...

I have started teaching [specialization]. I’m also assisting a bit with the [adjunct] program since it’s in my wheelhouse and takes very little time and needs some special attention right now. You know I can’t help myself!

The team is small and absolutely wonderful. The job is challenging and fulfilling at the same time and to know I’m making a difference, well, that’s the cherry on top.

[This new environment]  has become my absolute happy place and my husband is beyond supportive.

I cannot thank you both [therapist and Mila] enough for your support, guidance and advice that allowed me to find my place in life, both professionally and personally. I don’t know if you hear it often enough so it was important for me to let you know how you’ve impacted my life.

I am so grateful…..simply put, thank you..”

  • " . . . thanks for helping me with introspection and frameworks for thinking about career changes" -CJ

“Mila! Wanted to close the loop and say thank you. I started a job six weeks ago that I really like and is a great fit for my talents and personality. I’m working in their [X] division. I’m running product strategy for their central [X] initiatives. Very niche job. Anyhow thanks for helping me with introspection and frameworks for thinking about career changes ;)”

  • " . . . Mila is like working with someone who is part business executive, shaman, public relations professional, coach, and friend." - NU

“As an accomplished psychotherapist in private practice, I was a crossroads in my career.  I loved what I did and also knew I wanted a refreshed approach to my lifestyle and work in general. I wanted to take advantage of the flexibility of private practice and make my lifestyle more healthy and satisfying.  In working with Mila Fairfax of Fairfax Image I accomplished more than I could have imagined.

Mila has a tested process, which she has refined over time that actually works to bring forth the best of your own passion, thinking and experience and propel you to maximize to your time, talents and energy.  Her previous experience in high-level marketing and communications, combined with her personal insight and uncanny intuition make her a powerful coach, ally and thought partner for anyone seeking to reset their work life authentically and powerfully present themselves.  In my work with her I developed professional goals and strategies that have expanded, enhanced, and added zest to my professional endeavors.

As a psychotherapist being authentic is of great importance to me.  Mila likewise values authenticity; is a cornerstone of her work.  The work with her is deep, individual, and not “gimmicky.”  This sets her apart and above.

In summary, working with Mila is like working with someone who is part business executive, shaman, public relations professional, coach, and friend.  She is challenging and supportive, uncannily perceptive, and has an eye for the aesthetic that best represents who you truly are.”
